When you start a Telehealth call, the last thing you need is to be wasting time troubleshooting technical connection issues which prevent you from commencing your consultation. Not only is it frustrating for both you and the patient, but it eats into your limited and valuable consultation time and can impact on the quality of the information received.
Telehealth Tech is your virtual Practice Manager, ensuring patients are technically set up on their device prior to their appointment, ready to meet you on your chosen videoconferencing platform.
We deal directly with your patients prior to your call to ensure there are no technical issues such as:
· Whilst we will endeavour to test your preferred videoconferencing platform, there are instances where the choice of how you connect is limited by the technical capability of the patient. Telehealth Tech will identify how best to connect and confirm with you any variations in how the appointment will need to be conducted in advance, ensuring your appointments remain seamless and timely and vastly reducing appointment cancellations.
Interpreter Services
Telehealth Tech can organise interpreter services on your behalf and conduct the pre-appointment technical check so that as with your patient, your interpreter is also prepared for your appointment. We can also host the 3-way appointment for you whilst still removing ourselves from your consultation for complete privacy. If any of the participants drop out of the call due to tech issues, we can step back into the meeting to troubleshoot, ensuring your appointment proceeds.
Consent forms
Telehealth Tech can also facilitate the completion and
submission of consent forms prior to the consultation if required.
Telehealth Tech can facilitate consultations on a number of different videoconference platforms, however we recommend Doxy.Me and Coviu.

Ease of use
Unlike other well-known videoconferencing platforms, Doxy.Me and Coviu do not require downloads or installations by you or your examinee, nor do they need to register their personal name and contact details in order to access these platforms. Doxy.Me and Coviu set you up with your own unique virtual consulting room link which you can use for every single assessment, rather than requiring a new link for every appointment (as happens on other platforms).
Both platforms also have their own virtual waiting rooms so you can easily end the call with one patient and accept the next patient into your virtual room with the click of a button.
Security & Privacy
Doxy.Me and Coviu calls are encrypted meaning your video consultations cannot be listened to by anyone other than you and your examinee. Your consultations are also not recorded or saved anywhere, ensuring total privacy. In addition, unlike Zoom for example, both platforms are unhackable and do not require an app to be downloaded for use.
Both platforms are ideal for the majority of consultations which only require 2-way doctor-patient video meetings.
3-way consultations
Should you require a 3-way consultation (for example, between you, the patient and an interpreter), Telehealth Tech can organise a unique videoconference link and support for this purpose.
If you are unsure of which platform to use, we are happy to guide you on the various options and help you get set-up with your own account, ready to go. We do also recommend having at least two options available in case you or your patient encounters a problems at the consultation time.
